5 Things your stylist wants you to know.

Here are some things that almost every stylist wants you to know before you sit in their chair. Once you know these 5 things the experience can be better for you and your stylist and you can create magic together! 1. Realistic Expectations: Everyone loves Instagram and Pinterest BUT remember that things arent always what they seem on the internet. The person in the photo may not have the same hair texture as you, my not have as much color build up, uses different products at home, has stronger or weaker undertones then you......etc.. Basically everyone is different one size does not fit all. So let photos be your inspiration as opposed to expecting exactly what the person has. 2. Haircolor can not lighten artificial hair color: Even if you only have a "temporary" or "wash out color", it will most likely not come out of your hair without bleach. Color removers can only do so much. If you dont have 100% virgin hair you cannot go any lighter then what you are without bleach. 3.Be on time: If you are late your stylist will feel rushed. That is the last thing you want when working with a colorist. We need time to create long lasting beautiful color. This also means booking the correct service so there is enough time to create what you like. Us hairstylist can only do so much in a short amount of time. 4. You get what you pay for: If you stylist is more expensive chances are they go to tons of education that cost time and money. If you find your stylist by what deal of the week they have or that they do it for less then everyone else. There is a reason for it. If you are on a budget my suggestion is to find a stylist who you love their work and just spread your appointments out. Chances are you will get a color that grows out a lot easier with someone who is skilled. 5. Share. Share. Share: If you love your hair and you had a great experience share it! Tag your stylist on Social Media and leave them a review. That is the best way to give back to a stylist you love. Its the best compliment you can give. Also, if you dont love it....tell your stylist. Believe me, we wanna fix our mistakes immediately. We want you to love it!
